Art

Art is art when the creator is driven to create,

It matters not that another can imitate,

The work.

The soul, the passion,

Cannot be copied.

Gianaclis, a mixed media artist, creates both large and small installation type works, usually containing a message.  Often working with public school children, under-served by the visual arts, to both inspire and be inspired,  Gianaclis creates  works using the children's imagery, thoughts, and bodies interpreted, remade, and augmented with her own unique style.

The feelings generated by her work are primarily of hope and awareness, even when the subject is one of discouragement or controversy.

Printmaking, painting, textiles, digital art, papermaking, poetry, and sound are among the mediums used in the work.
